In this class you will learn what you need to know to get you safely through the critical period of the first 72 hours of being stranded in the wilderness.

Topics Covered:
Hazards- Learn what actually kills people and how to prevent it

Survival Mind and Awareness- Develop an understanding of the mentality required of the survivor

Emergency Shelters- Constructing quick shelters out of natural and man made materials

Water- Finding, collecting, and purifying/filtering

Fire- Construction of a 1 match fire in any conditions

Signaling for Help- Learn how to help Search and Rescue find you

Navigation- Learn how to find directions from your surroundings

Food- and why it is NOT a priority


**Class Limited to 15 Participants**

Logistics and Admin:

-Directions and Equipment List will be provided upon course registration
-Lunch is not provided
-Participants under 18 must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian for courses, unless otherwise specified.
