Presidential Visit Highlights Rogers Business – President George Bush visited Rogers yesterday! Along with a speech to business leaders, the president toured long-time Chamber member Stribling Packaging. Bush’s visit tops a year of great accomplishments in Rogers and Lowell, and is a compliment to the continued prosperity we enjoy in northwest Arkansas. Visit www.RogersLowell.com for details on the president’s visit to Rogers.

Your 2008 Marketing Plans Begin with Advertising in “The Good Life” and Chamber Website – Let the Chamber help you target your marketing message to reach our 1,750 member businesses, 50,000 readers of The Good Life and more than 250,000 unique website visitors annually. Some exciting new tools are available this year. If you haven’t used our powerful website tools to track referrals from the Chamber to your website, you’re in for a surprise! Advertising prices start as low as $250 to $500 per year, and space is limited in both the tourism and relocation community guide, and the website. Schedule a 30-minute demonstration of the website and members only-section, and learn what’s planned for the 2008 version of The Good Life. Learn more here, or schedule your appointment through Oct. 19 by contacting Beth Stephens at 479-636-1240.

Students Learning They Are the Solution – Did you know that more than 8 percent of Benton County high school seniors have tried meth? During “Methamphetamine Awareness Month” presentations are being made to students around the county in an effort to reduce the use of meth. “You Are the Solution” is the theme of the 2007 Methamphetamine Awareness Month of October organized by the Drug Free Rogers-Lowell Coalition of the Chamber, and the Benton County Methamphetamine Task Force. You can learn more about how meth use affects the user and the community at www.drugfreenwa.com.

This Week’s Ribbon Cuttings are online here! Learn who is hosting a ribbon cutting this week, and put it on your calendar. If you are interested in joining the Ambassador Committee (and who doesn’t want to be an Ambassador?), contact Stacey Greenwood.
