Ozark Tracker Society Upcoming Classes

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the steady arrival of a fantastic fall. We have been quite busy and were delighted to have run a wonderful Women's only workshop this past weekend. We should have some pictures posted on our website soon. It was an excellent group of women who, I should add, gave the best one-match fire performance we've seen yet! It was surely a hit and we will be running more Women's events in coming months. Below is a list of workshops we are running this November. We are limiting the class size of these workshops to insure a 5:1 participant to instructor ratio. You can register by responding to the Google Calendar invitation that you will receive or via our website.

Upcoming Classes:
Wilderness Survival Skills I- Emergency Situations up to 72hrs, 3 NOV
Wilderness Survival Skills II- Beyond 72hrs:Introduction to Wilderness Living/Primitive Skills, 4 NOV
Hunting Skills I with Eddie Starnater (see below)- 10-11 NOV

The Ozark Tracker Society is pleased to host Eddie Starnater as a guest instructor this November. A longtime practitioner of primitive and wilderness survival skills, Eddie was an instructor and subsequent Program Director of Tom Brown Jr.s Tracker School and has recently started his own program Practical Primitive LLC, in New Jersey.

The class will be held (9AM-6PM) November 10th and 11th and is limited to 10 students. I know you gun hunters out there are balking that it's opening weekend of modern gun, but this a great opportunity to acquire new and hone existing skills that will shed new light on your hunting experience and potential. This workshop will expose you to an approach to hunting that is holistic, ancient and an ancestral legacy to us all.
Course Description:

Hunting Skills 1

Whether you hunt with a longbow or with a camera, you'll learn how to closely observe an area and read the animal activity. We will explore camouflage, stalking, and other techniques that will allow you to approach the hunt in the sacred manner, and get much closer to game than you ever thought possible. To our ancestors the hunt was a sacred rite, and in many societies members of the tribe had to prove themselves worthy before being permitted to participate. In our modern world this connection with the "circle of life" has been all but lost. For those of you who wish to rekindle this connection, this class will help you to connect with an instinct that is too deep to describe.

NO ANIMALS WILL BE HARMED IN THIS CLASS!

**This is a custom course and any specific skill set that falls within the bounds of Primitive Hunting Skills can potentially be covered. Once registered, please submit questions or topics on which you would like to focus.
