10/26 - Northwest Arkansas Art Director's Club Cracks Open Vault 49

Northwest Arkansas Art Director's Club Cracks Open Vault 49
Friday October 26th, 2007 at the Dickson Street Theater
Doors open at 6:30 and event starts at 7:30.

The NWAADCs world famous team of super-thieves will pull off a heist worthy of a certain George Clooney movie - when we snooker Jonathan Keynon and John Glasgow into opening up the well sealed safety deposit box of phenomenal talent and trend setting design that is Vault 49.

This is a peek into the collaborative design / photography / illustration of Vault 49. Vault 49's client list reads like a who's who of the advertising world. Vault 49's often imitated but never equaled visual style of collages of photography, illustration, and rampant photoshopery has appeared on the covers of Flaunt, Rolling Stone, and Dazed & Confused. Lest you think it's all British avant-garde fashion and stoner rock magazines, they've also worked for tiny little niche publications like the New York Times and the BBC.

Since founding Vault 49 in 2002 - Kenyon and Glasgow have continued to receive coverage in American and British design press - to be the subject ofliterally millions of request for tutorials put forth by internet sub-morons, and also to rack up awards, accolades and general points for being awesome from clients like Microsoft, Smirnoff, Nike, Levi's, MTV, VH1. (seriously, this could go on for a while. Reference vault 49.com for more)
