Art Amiss Inc., a local artists’ collective, will hold its semi-annual show on Thursday, May 14 at the Dickson St. Theater. This all ages, multi-media event will open at 7:00pm, with a $7 admission charge. Tickets are available for purchase at the door.

Art Amiss X will showcase the work of visual artists along with musicians, fashion designers and a team of installation artists to create a diverse yet cohesive art extravaganza. The art show will take place in the Dickson Street Theater, located on Dickson Street between Church St. and Locust Ave.

A fashion show will showcase the works of local fashion designers as well as hair and makeup artists.

Musical performances will take place throughout the evening and will feature Sandy Rowles & Shout Lulu Stringband. A compilation CDs of music by Arkansas musicians, will be distributed to the first 200 patrons to arrive at the event, free with admission.

The show will include works from artists who are native to or residents of Arkansas. Juried works shown at Art Amiss X are for sale, and buyers are welcomed. Participating artists will be on hand to talk with the public throughout the evening.

As Art Amiss X will be a retrospectively-themed show, we will be selling vintage Art Amiss t-shirts, books, stickers, pin and other special surprises. If you missed out on something before, now's your chance!
