The Aspiring Author Seminar: From the Idea to the Shelf

Is writing a book on your list of goals for 2008? This seminar will cover all the aspects of producing a successful book. The seminar is co-taught by Maxie Carpenter, the author of I Didn't Ask You to Dance! I Asked You to Talk! and author/publisher Carrie Perrien Smith of Soar with Eagles. You'll benefit from the stories of two authors who will help you understand the steps in getting your concept into print.

The seminar covers these topics and more:

The book development process: decide what to write and learn the best ways to get your ideas on paper
The different types of publishing and the advantages and disadvantages associated with each one
The powerful influence of marketing strategy all the way from the idea to the delivery of the book

We allow past attendees of this class to return at a reduced rate. This time, we’re allowing them to return for free. Writing a book can be a long process and it's easy to lose focus. Returning to class can re-acquaint you with the next steps in the process and get you back on track.
