Ozark Tracker Society Is Offering Wilderness Survival Training (Ladies Only)

October 13, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Know you are safe by taking this course
and learning how to deal confidently with common
emergency scenarios using a simple preparedness
kit you can carry in your car or on
your person. In addition to basic Wilderness Survival skills
we will also cover some fundamental aspects of camp craft.

This workshop will teach the basics of survival, for you and your family.

-Survival packs: What you need to have in them, and how to use the contents
-Car survival: How to most effectively use your car in a survival situation
-Keeping warm: Easy steps to keep you and your family warm without fire.
-Fire: How to make a fire, and keep it going.
-Navigation: Finding your way when you are lost, as well as map and compass work.
-Signaling: Helping Search and Rescue find you.
-Water: How to find and obtain potable water.

This class will give you the basic skills needed to make it through an emergency survival
situation and know you can keep yourself and your family safe.

**Participants will be given a free Ozark Tracker Society t-shirt, sponsored by Melissa Hatfield of Little Rock.
Please include your shirt size when registering.

-Directions & Equipment List will be provided upon course registration
-Lunch is NOT provided
Course Cost: $75
-Minimum participant age is 10 yrs.
-Participants under 18 must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian for courses, unless otherwise specified.
**This class is open to women only
