Stephanie Wooten to Give Women's Self Defense Presentation at Women In Networking Luncheon
A violent act occurs once every fifteen seconds in the United States. One out of every four women in the United States currently over 21 years of age will experience a violent crime in her lifetime, and each year six million women are beaten by an abusive husband or boyfriend. Thousands of those beatings end in murder. In order to be prepared it is important for us to stay alert and know how to fight back. Women In Networking wants to be certain that if and when a time of danger comes for any of us, we will know how to adequately defend ourselves. On May 23rd our guest speaker will be Stephanie Wooten, an instructor who teaches women's self defense for the Bentonville Police Department.
