As part of our commitment, Washington Regional and the National Speaking of Women’s Health Foundation (NSWHF) are partnering to present the Speaking of Women’s Health® Conference for the women of Northwest Arkansas. A sell-out audience of approximately 920 women is expected to attend. Proceeds from this conference are used to support local community programs.
History
2005 marks the 14th year that Washington Regional has hosted a conference focused on the health issues of women. The mission of the NSWHF is to educate women to make informed decisions about their health, well-being and personal safety. Because the missions of NSWHF and Washington Regional share common goals and vision, we joined forces to present the Speaking of Women’s Health® Conference for women throughout Northwest Arkansas. Our six-year partnership with Speaking of Women’s Health® enables us to create a day-long environment of luxury and pampering that allows conference attendees to not only take in the valuable health information presented in breakout sessions and keynote addresses, but also offers the opportunity to network with other women about healthcare issues of importance to them.
Conference Benefits to Attendees
• Health screenings: bone density screenings, written heart risk assessment, blood cholesterol check.
• Information from exhibit booth sponsors on health, well-being and personal safety.
• Gifts from National and Local Sponsors, valued at over $250.
• Continental breakfast, elegant luncheon and power snacks in morning and afternoon.
• Nationally recognized Keynote Speakers in morning and afternoon.
• Breakout sessions throughout the day featuring topics that women want to hear about:

National Program with a Local Focus
Our conference is a community-based effort organized by local thought-leaders and supported by highly experienced women across the country. With meaningful content and a very modest individual ticket price, this conference attracts a diverse group of women varying in age, ethnicity and socio/economic status. Outstanding women from Northwest Arkansas will be honored as recipients of the Washington Regional Amethyst Awards.
The Northwest Arkansas conference is one of 30 events nationwide. Attendees consistently rate Speaking of Women’s Health® conferences “Excellent”, 9.4 on a scale of 10, (10 being highest). There is a high attendee recall of sponsors with a 45% recall of ALL corporate sponsors.
Speaking of Women’s Health® has an impact far beyond the one-day event, as attendees become part of an ongoing proactive process of learning about healthy lifestyles. A quarterly newsletter and website sponsored by NSWHF, radio and Lifetime Television for Women programming, along with print publications and online website content sponsored by Washington Regional, serve to bring information and education to conference attendees throughout the year.
