League of Women Voters Reception/Silent Auction on August 25th

The new Chapter of the League of Women Voters Benton County will have a reception/silent auction on August 25, 2005 at 7:00 pm. The occasion is entitled “Meet the League” very similar to “Meet the Press”, We will introduce our organizers and new officers to the public. The organization is non-partisan but encourages our members to participate in the political process. Men, minorities and people with disabilities are also encouraged to join. The event will be held at the Clarion Inn of Bentonville. A cash bar and hor d’oeuvres will be served. Items which will be auctioned are jewelry from Karat/Carat, one year membership to Gold’s Gym, a portrait setting with Erika Nelson, a ride for two in a Model A, two autographed books signed by Senator Blanche Lincoln and Governor Mike Huckabee. Please join us and become members of this wonderful organization founded during the Women’s Suffragette Movement.
